I Made A Wish
This is my niece who got married in July. She requested that her photographer take this picture as she liked the idea of being that close to him, but not seeing him in his tux nor him seeing her in her wedding dress. They are just so sweet together.

Close To You
Happiness
Some days it is just so hard to be nice, to spread happiness to others. That danged internal weight I carry around in the form of misplaced guilt or self-hatred should just hit the road. Why can't I always radiate happiness to others? What is going on that keeps me so wrapped up within myself that I can't see the needs of others? There are some days when I'm just Little Cindy Who, spreading joy and sunshine to all around me with no effort whatsoever (true, I'm usually in a serotonin uptake inhibited state), but then the others that cost me little chunks of myself when I grin in spite of the downright stinky feelings I have on the inside. Why can't it be easier? So I just say it: Happiness. May it always radiate from me. It's there, deep inside me. Just gotta tap into it.

Veterans Days ~ featured at Faith Sisters
Three of my layouts of my brother's military training/service are featured on the Faith Sisters home page for Veterans and Remembrance Day. Check it out: 11/11/08 Veterans Day.
I've tried to explain to my brother how proud I am of him, but every time I try, the words just don't express the depth of my feelings. I was almost 20 years old when he was born, and I remember seeing him for the first time in the hospital. I remember how stinkin' cute he was as a little boy. He was so well-behaved and fun, just a joy to be around. As he's grown into a man, he's changed some, especially when he entered the Army. But I know that my brother is still there in the smiles he shares, the things we laugh about, his easy-going ways.
For all these things, it's still extraordinary to me that my brother who is younger than I was when he was born made the momentous decision to serve our country. He had other options, but this is the path he wanted to follow. His focus and determination are incredible. So C.J., out there doing whatever you're doing in training right now ~ I'm so proud of you, of the man you are, of the man you're becoming.
Salute!

Winged
Ah, I'm going through a phase ~ I'm just loving the collage look and I love really trying to mimic a traditional paper layout. I really like to pull items from here, there and everywhere ~ it was definitely a creative release to do this page today.
And, of course, I'm super proud of my brother who made it through Airborne and is on to RIP (Ranger Indoctrination Program). This is his fiancee pinning on his wings.

Happy
Candy Corn
Noggin, a childrens' programming channel, has these little characters, a moose called Moose A. Moose and a bird called Zee, and the moose sings this cute little song about how he doesn't like candy corn ~ it's Daniel's favorite little Halloween son (and mine, too, if I'm being honest). So here's a piece of digi art that I can use for decorations for Halloween.
