Sometimes Amusing - C is for Colorful Alphabet Shoot Challenge
I created this colorful page for the Alphabet Shoot over at scrapbookgraphics.com (basically an ABC album about me). The Festive Collection by Raspberry Road Designs was spot on for making a layout rich with vibrant colors.

Get Ready To Fly - Wednesday Do It Digi Challenge at The Shaker Box
What better way to prepare for the upcoming DAY OF LOVE, Valentine's Day, than creating a layout, card, or altered art object featuring wings. Think fat little cherubs, wispy butterflies, the outstretched wings of a bird. Of course, a little red and pink and maybe a few hearts to accompany those wings wouldn't hurt! Use brushes, elements, or papers . . . just use your imagination and take flight! Be sure to post your challenge layouts in the Shakin' Challenges section of the gallery at The Shaker Box.
The layout I chose to do is focusing yet again on my never-ending journey towards self-acceptance. It's all about love. Realizing I am something, even if I'm not everything.

Create In Me - Faith Discovery Challenge #5
The song that used on this page was a favorite of mine as a teenager. It was performed by Acapella, but the lyrics and music were written by Terry Talbot.

The Food - Featuring Country Glam Collection by Raspberry Road Designs
Recently we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday. This is some of the food that we had at the party. This layout will be included with other pages documenting our celebration! The Country Glam Collection was PERFECT to highlight this party . . . it was glamorous country at its best! If you haven't gotten this collection by Raspberry Road Designs, I highly recommend it. One of my faves!

Deck of Me Challenge, Week 1
Today starts our deck of me challenge at The Shaker Box. We are starting a year long journey by creating an art journal on a deck of playing cards.
Emily Falconbridge hosted this 52 week challenge on her blog . . . and we'll be following her challenge prompts for our journey as well.
You will need a deck of playing cards . . . there are jumbo playing cards that will give you a little more room if you think you need it, but the regular size playing cards are typically 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". A digi scrapper can simply create their LO in the 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" format and print it out to be adhered to the card . . . a paper scrapper can go all out . . . or go for a mix of the two and create a hybrid wonder!
The prompt for week one is to write about something you are proud of . . .
Here are my cards (front and back):

You can also see Emily's original card (so clever!) here:

Post your cards in the gallery at The Shaker Box HERE.
I am looking forward to seeing all of your creations!

Pansy - Featuring Danielle Engebretson Designs
This is our family cat, Pansy (named by our daughter, who at the time was 4). There is a type of pansy (the flower) that looks like a cat face because of the "whiskers" on the petals, but we didn't find that out until AFTER she had named her.
I used a collection called "My Silly Kitty" by Danielle Engebretson Designs. She is the Digital Sponsor of the Month at The Shaker Box. You can find out more about Danielle Engebretson by visiting The Shaker Box blog (link in sidebar).

Legacy - Faith Discovery Challenge #3
This layout features one of my favorite songs performed by Nichole Nordeman. I just used the chorus, but the entire song is great. I want to leave a legacy for my children . . . who are, by the way, super sweet together in this layout!
